Study on Daming palace National Heritage Park

Abstract:This thesis is mainly based on the Construction process of the Daming palace National Heritage Park and on the condition after it opened. According to the analysis, the Park has promoted the conservation of the Daming palace site. Due to the construction, the inhabitants that moved out can live in a better condition and the city environment is more beautiful. However, the construction also destroyed parts of the site and the archaeological work will be difficult to carry out because there is too much cement covering the park. Finally, this thesis points out that the protection and interpreting should fully consider the integrity and reality of the site. The development, such as entertainment, must not affect the environment. The local government should as well pay equal attention to cultural value as well as economical value of the site. Also the central government should increase investment and strengthen the supervision and management during the project.
