The Artistic Characteristics of Painted Potteries from Dawenkou Culture   (6)
Abstract】The paper probes into the artistic characteristics of painted potteries unearthed from Dawenkou Culture, using from object combinations, the changing mode of design patterns, the making skills perspectives. The conclusions are these: the amount of painted potteries gradually grew to a peak and then declined, till disappeared totally; the design patterns follows the rule of simple to complex, then simple again; and lastly, the colors, first using single color, then double or triple colors, then simple color again.

Discussion on the Times and Ethnic Belongings of Tunxi Mound Tombs   (12)
Abstract】It has always been a hot issue for the Shang and Zhou Archaeologists as to the times and ethnic belongings of Tunxi Mound tombs in Anhui province. Based on the previous literature review, this paper suggests these tombs should be around Western Zhou Dynasty, in which falls into three phases: the early, middle, and later phases of Western Zhou. The owners of the tombs belongs to Yue ethnic.

“Jiang Nan Shi Jia” —— Six Dynasties’ Tombs in Dingmao, Zhenjiang   (17)
Abstract】Thirteen tombs, at the period of Eastern Wu Period to Southern Dynasties Period (A.D.222 – A.D.589) were found at “Jiang Nan Shi Jia” Site, Zhenjiang City, Zhejiang Province. Most of these tombs are single – chambered, shaped like 凸. Besides these, two are double – chambered tombs with alas, and shaped like 吕. Also, two earthern shafts were. The abundance of potteries, the richness of glazes, which makes the first of its kind being found in the tombs of Eastern Wu Period. Two tombs’ funeral objects mostly are potteries, which provides studying material for Southern Dynasties.

Several Issues of No.6 Tomb at Songshanli, Gongzhou, South Korea   (28)
Abstract】No.6 tomb at Songhanli, South Korea like Wuning Mausolin, belongs to the typical “Jiankang Pattern”. The tomb comes after Wuning mausolin, the owner is probably Baiji Holy King, the son of Wuning Emperor. The four supernatural beings painted on the walls is, obviously, influenced by the Southern Dynasties’ (in China) painting skill. The appearance of “Jiankang Pattern” in Baiji (South Korea) should be related to its wish to be affiliated to China in the 6 year of Dongchen Emperor, which may also be one of rules at that time.

Abstract】Taizhou Municipal Museum carried out a salvaging excavation of a double room tombs in 2006 in Song Dynasty which came up a lot funerary objects. There are a lot exquisite chinas and paints with characters, this is the third to find song dynasty tombs in Taizhou. It provides material information for the research of Taizhou’s history in song dynasty.

The Process of Emperor Daowu Ruled over China and being Hanized   (45)
Abstract】When Emperor Dao – Wu, inaugurator of the North – Wei regime, entered Central China as a conqueror, he faced the problems o harmonize the relationship between Hu and Han and to absorb the local tribes into his power system. The solving of such problems is the key of the success of the Hanist reform, which is carried out by Emperor Xiao – Wen. By investigating the actions of Emperor Dao – Wu on national system construction an appointment of the Han gentry, this paper discusses the process of the harmonization between Hu and Han during the chaos period.

Abstract】We discussed the history and age of the liju gui - vessel in this paper. It was made in the late time of the king zhao in the west chou dynasty. The inscriptions of the liju gui - vessel reflected the owner of the vessel took part in the war between the west chou dynasty and the chu country in the late time of the king zhao.

Rediscuss on “Shi = ” Text on the Silks Found in Mawangdui Site   (56)
Abstract】there are five “shi=(是=)” sentences in Tanwan Qixiang Zazhan copied in then silk unearthed from the third bomb at Mawangdui. Some scholars thought that the “=” is a copy mark which stands for shi(是). So they concluded it is a copulative verb. Some scholars thought that the “=” stands for shi(是), and they concluded it is an adverb. This paper thought that the “=” is a special copy mark which stands for wei(谓) appear ahead.

Study on Animal Faces on Architectural Components during Western and Eastern Jin Dynasties   (74)
Abstract】The archaeological excavation of the animal mask, which was placed on structural member, was applied not only in eaves tile but also painting, brick and so on. We can district it into three regions: Beifang, Nanfang and Liaodong. The period of the animal mask in Beifang was distributed in Western Jin, Eastern Jin in Nanfang, but from Western Jin to Eastern Jin in Liaodong. It originated in Han dynaty and spread from the central plain (Luoyang) to all around, its function evolved from avoiding evil spirits, being celestial being for the dead to being related to the reality, its regional development kept in accordance with the early stage of Taoism.

The Microstructure of Ancient Water – logged Cultural Relics   (89)
Abstract】After conducting research on the unearthed Chinese catalpas in 2002, heavy erosion can be found on those woods. Micro, chemical and ultra – infrared analysis prove that the polyose material of these catalpas appeared severe degradation dissolution, but lignin amount increased. The dissolution of polyose increases hydrophilicity and holes of wood fibers, results in the raise of absolute moisture content, the decline of basic density and stress intensity. The reason for the well – preserved woods to be found lies in the intercellular layers rich in lignin.
