Tang Jinqiong, who comes from Nantong, Jiangsu, is now an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Archaeology at Jilin University, and then his master’s degree in history at the Department of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has participated in the archaeological projects at Zhouyuan (Shaanxi), Erlitou in Yanshi, Yinxu in Anyang (both in Henan), Guicheng in Longkou (Shandong), Mudu in Suzhou (Jiangsu), and the Qingjiang Basin in Zhangshu (Jiangxi). His primary research focuses on the archaeology of the Shang and Zhou periods, as well as the archaeology of South China.
