2011年7月1日，为了加快甑皮岩国家考古遗址公园的建设，桂林甑皮岩国家考古遗址公园建设指挥部在桂林市举行了“‘中国桂林洞穴遗址考古研究中心’建设座谈会”。受广西桂林市文化局及桂林甑皮岩遗址博物馆的邀请，中国社会科学院考古研究所、广西文物考古研究所、桂林市文物工作队、中国地质科学院岩溶地质研究所、广西师范大学、柳州市白莲洞遗址博物馆、柳州市考古队等......
新疆文物考古研究所14日透露，在哈密地区文物局配合下，该所近期在哈密市以南100多公里处发现占地面积1万多平方米的墓葬群，这是哈密首次发现距今3000多年的古墓群。
据了解，这个墓葬群规模较大、分布较为密集，布局规整，保存较完整，特别是地面墓垣和祭台建筑的墓葬在新疆尚属首次发现，墓葬的随葬品以陶器和木器为主，石器、骨角器、铜器、铁器等也有较多发现。
